Dave joined the company in February 2016 and offers a wealth of experience. Dave is a 'time served' welder/fabricator with 14 years experience. Dave has is PCN Level 2 trained (Dye Pen) and a CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector. Dave says, " I can offer a true insight and understand the full requirements of all the components as I myself have been through the entire testing process. This wealth of knowledge means that I can fully support you in order to pass and give practical solutions to any questions you may have".

Our History
2013
CDL Group was founded by Edward Cadenne de Lannoy to fill a clear gap in the market when BS EN ISO 1090 became mandatory, as many Companies struggled to navigate the complex requirements around weld testing and compliance. Recognising this need we built a service that combines technical expertise with practical support to help clients achieve and maintain Certification with confidence
2014
CDL Group became an ISO 17021 Conformity assessment body through Qualitas Veritas, offering Certification to various ISO Standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 etc.
2015-2017
We opened 2 new regional offices and grew to 7 full time members, to offer a better service to our growing customer base and to bolster the knowledge and skills of our team.
2018
We opened our first overseas facility in Ireland, as we recognised the growing demand for our services there.
2019
We partnered with ‘Bipol’ a leading French manufacturer of industrial inspection equipment and became the sole UK distributor of their products, such as videscopes and endescopes etc.
2023-2025
We created our first in-house laboratory at our head office in Mid Wales to eliminate the use of external labs and provide our clients with a better value and faster turnaround for their tests.
In June of 2025 we achieved UKAS Accreditation to ISO 17025 for our lab and became the only provider of its kind in Wales
